With this year’s ‘Clean for the Queen’ campaign gaining momentum, this looks like the year the focus is turned on those annoying ‘litter lout’s. Fines for littering are set to double from £75 to £150 and members of the public are being urged to challenge people dropping rubbish in public places, as part of a new crackdown on the litter louts.

In today’s Daily Telegraph Christopher Hope reported :The executive charged with leading a national spring clean ahead of the Queen’s 90th birthday urged the public to challenge litter louts in the street, even if it is a “scary prospect”.
