Prue Leith co-founds new Deli At Home menu delivery service

Prue Leith co-founds new premium meal delivery service for time poor real food lovers.

Deli At Home founders include Yoosli owner Markus Niemeier and Michelin Star trained Chef Brian Collie

Well-known television presenter, restaurateur, caterer, journalist, cookery writer and novelist Prue Leith is one of the founders of Deli At Home, the new premium meal delivery service for time poor real food lovers.

Says Prue “I am delighted to be part of the team that has launched this new meal delivery service for those who love good food but who have little time to shop for ingredients. From the initial feedback we know that the meals are being enjoyed by a wide range of people from young professionals and busy families through to discerning pensioners and single mothers. Good food should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their circumstances, so we have a selection of recipes for everyone.”

Other founders include ex-City banker and Yoosli owner Markus Niemeier, Chef Brian Collie (formerly of The Waterside Inn and other Michelin starred restaurants) along with food lovers Tony Lahert, Neil Hargreaves and Luke Quilter.

Deli At Home delivers weekly or fortnightly all the premium ingredients required to cook two or three delicious and nutritious meals for two or four people. Everything is delivered ready measured – even the spices and sauces – alongside colourful and easy to use recipe cards. Some recipes take around 30 minutes while others can be cooked in only 15 fifteen minutes – perfect for a quick weekday meal.

There are ten seasonal recipes to choose from each week, including two weekend treat options, with the premium ingredients sourced from renowned suppliers such as Tom Hixson of Smithfield for meat and Murray Fresh Fish for fish.

Current recipes include: Chicken & Chorizo Paella, Coconut & Salmon Laksa, Duck Breast with Pomegranate & Persian Rice Pilaf, Houmous Chicken Shawarma with Lemon Chilli Sauce & Fattoush Salad and Pork Loin with Juniper Berries, Potato Mash & Roast Figs.

Vegetarians have not been forgotten with recipes such as Shakshuka, or Grilled Halloumi with Roasted Vegetables and Rose Harissa.

Very much a personal, food lovers business, each recipe has been created by Chef Brian in his kitchen and judged by Prue in true Great British Menu style! Markus himself has cooked every dish and, at the start of the business, packed every box too!

Customers can choose between the Classic Box (three recipes for two people) at £39.00, the Family Box (three recipes for four people) at £59.00 and the Starter Box (two recipes for two people) at £29.99. All prices include free postage and the individual plate cost is highly competitive against supermarket ready meals and takeaways.

Customers have commented how Deli At Home is better than the competition citing premium quality food, more choice of recipes, delicious and unusual ingredients from around the world, excellent customer service with queries dealt with by Markus himself and a choice of cooking time/complexity of recipe – 15, 30 or 45 minutes.

Deli At Home delivers nationally by courier and all the ingredients are packed in special, recyclable materials; including the innovative Woolcool packaging for frozen ingredients.
