I had a pretty bad fall at a warehouse in Queens back in November, messed up my knee pretty good, and while the medical part of my claim was accepted right away, the lost wage part is just stuck in limbo. The insurance company keeps asking for the same paperwork over and over, and every time I call, I get a different story from a different person. My supervisor at work isn’t being super helpful either, kind of giving me the cold shoulder now. I’ve been trying to handle it on my own because I figured it was straightforward, but I’m starting to think I need to look into getting a workers compensation attorney law firm involved just to get these people to actually communicate and process my payments. It’s getting hard to keep up with my bills. Has anyone else had to deal with this runaround, and did a lawyer actually speed things up or just add to the stress?
