Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) Author Posts April 25, 2026 at 10:17 am #232074 kaylatorresParticipant My 2012 JK’s rear differential has started whining like a jet engine at highway speeds and the dealer quoted me nearly seven thousand dirhams to open it up and replace whatever’s gone bad, which honestly made me choke on my karak, and a guy I know from the weekend dune drives said I should just take it to Jeep Service Mussafah because they did his transfer case for a fraction of that and it’s still going strong two years later, but I’m a bit nervous handing a major driveline rebuild to any independent when the dealer keeps waving the warranty card and reminding me about genuine Mopar parts, I guess I’m wondering if anyone here has had them do internals like ring and pinion or bearings and whether the parts and labour held up after tens of thousands of kilometers, I’d rather not pay twice if something gets noisy again in six months.
