Toyota C-HR in contention for 2017 Car of the Year title

The launch of the new Toyota C-HR crossover continues to enjoy a positive reception with the announcement that the radical crossover has been included among the seven finalists competing for the 2017 Car of the Year title.

Karl Schlicht, Toyota Motor Europe Vice President, said: “We are very excited to see the Toyota C-HR has made it to the shortlist. In parallel, we are receiving excellent news from our retailers, who are reporting high demand for the car. This is proof of how already many people are responding to our bold decisions on striking styling, interior quality, a highly efficient hybrid power train and outstanding driving dynamics for the new model.”

The Car of the Year is longest-established and most renowned car award in Europe, presented by a 58-strong judging panel that includes expert automotive journalists from across the continent. The winner will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony during the Geneva motor show on 6 March.
