I’m trying to find a few outdoor planters in a natural brown tone – something that blends in well with timber decking and fencing. Not too flashy, but still nice-looking and robust enough to handle British weather. Preferably not plain plastic. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue and ended up finding a great range that fits exactly what you’re after. They’ve got a really good selection of brown planters in earthy tones and natural finishes. Here’s the link: https://idealistplanters.co.uk/catalogue/outdoor_planters/brown

That looks promising – thanks! Do you know if they hold up well in the wind? We get some strong gusts on our patio and I’d rather not be chasing planters around the garden every weekend.

They’re surprisingly solid – many designs have a wide base or a good bit of weight to them. I’ve had mine through two windy seasons and they haven’t budged. Definitely better than the lightweight ones from garden centres.
