So I did something maybe a bit foolish but exciting, bought an old 90s Land Cruiser that’s been sitting for a while as a weekend project. Body’s solid and it runs but needs a lot of mechanical work to be roadworthy again, brakes are sketchy, cooling system needs attention, probably suspension bushes, fluids all need changing, the usual stuff for a car that’s been neglected. I’m handy with basic maintenance but this is beyond my skills, need a proper mechanic who knows these old vehicles and can guide me through what needs doing without charging a fortune. Looking for somewhere that’s patient enough to explain things and maybe let me watch and learn a bit, not just a place that wants to take over and do everything themselves.
