For all you Clarkson Hammond & May fans out there, the wait is over the alternative to Top Gear launches on Amazon Prime Video this Friday the 18th November. The Grand Tour, will launch in Johannesburg, South Africa, The Grand Tour will also host shows in the UK, U.S. and Germany. The studio section of the programme will travel to various cities around the globe and be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent.

With a staggering budget of £160 million with reputedly circa £10 million being Jeremy’s wages Amazon let out a few more statistics for the new show including that 1,474,546,320 miles have been driven and 14,951 cups of coffee drunk!

The series will air exclusively on Amazon Prime, you’ll need an Amazon Prime subscription to watch. So the question may be, what is Amazon Prime and how can I do I access the service ?

What is Amazon Prime?
Amazon Prime is an internet based annual membership programme accessed via a myriad of different devices including PC’s and tablets (Amazon’s support pages for further details) The service , not unlike Netflix offers subscribers unlimited access to a vast catalogue of films, music and e-books. £20 off annual membership rate until Friday 18 November

For a limited time Amazon are discounting the annual subscription to Amazon Prime from £79 to £59 ahead to coincide with the launch of the new The Grand Tour series.

The Amazon offer ends just before midnight on Friday 18 November and is strictly available to new Prime members.

After a period of one year, the price of the annual subscription goes back to £79.
